St. Peter's
Cathedral is the See of the Ecumenical
Catholic Church of America and Patriarchal See of the worldwide
Ecumenical Catholic Church Communion. We teach directly from the Holy Bible, which we believe is the True Inspired Word of God.
We also hold to the Traditional Catholic teachings. We are episcopal in polity, meaning that we are under the leadership, guidance and direction of
Bishops. The ECCC is a theologically conservative and Orthodox denomination believing strongly in the autonomy of the local church under the guidance of the local Bishop.
We are also under the guidance and direction of the Canon Law of the
Church. The ECCA is comprised of churches that flow from various streams of history including Congregational Christian, Episcopal,
Roman Catholic, Baptist, Methodist and Evangelical, Reformed and independent Community churches. We are solidly committed to the basic doctrines of the Christian faith, but allow for diversity in those areas where Christians have tended to disagree. Our members hold strong convictions, but do not believe that Christians should divide over secondary issues. As an
ecumenical denomination, we are strongly committed to working
with other denominations to bring the entire body of Christ back
together for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
St. Peter's Cathedral is founded on and dedicated to the teachings of God through His Son, Jesus Christ and His Word, the Holy Bible,
and the administration of the Sacraments. We believe that the Church has drifted away from God's plan and desire and has become dependent on worldly
beliefs and traditions. We are dedicated to returning the Church to God's plan for the Church as
He has shown us in the Holy Bible. We are a part of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church of Christ.

And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of
the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys
to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in
heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. -- Matt 16:18-19 (NAB)
